Identify the variaty of Work Values Based on Generational Differences in Workplace

Abstract

All aspects of human life under the influence of values, On the other hand the survival of any community over time subject to systematic transfer values from one generation to another. Given that organizations are at the heart of society. Thus, the research work to identify the values that each generation, Type of behavior and action organizations in order to improve the business environment determine, is undeniable necessity. The purpose of research is to identify the various generations is based on the value of work. This research is objectively development-application, and in terms of strategy is exploratory, and also follows a descriptive-survey method. The study has been conducted in two phases first; we try to find the number of generations among five provinces through cluster analysis. And second, to find out the work values of different generations in the municipality of Tehran, 128 people from five districts have been selected by cluster sampling method. After collecting data, the Q-factor analysis was performed. The findings show that in the workplace in Iran there are four generations. The present study identified separately paradigm for each generation that reflects the mentality and different perspectives of each generation in their work values. These differences can cause problems in solidarity and proper communication among people of different generations.
