Presenting a Local Model of Organizational Agility in knowledge‐based Firms

Abstract

The most important issue in contemporary organizations is dealing with unpredictable, dynamic and ever changing environment. The key to the survival and success of these organizations refers to the power of quick and effective accountability to the changing demands of customers. That's why many scholars recognize agility as the key to success. Many definitions as well as various factors for agility have been considered. In this study, it has been tried to identify main factors of agility by studying the conducted researches and the literature in this area, Due to the increasing importance of knowledge based companies whose existential philosophy is the use of knowledge along with the experience and expertise it was decided to identify agility factors by experts and integrating the opinions of experts and local agents and by the help of FDEMATEL technique to determine the relationship ,the effectiveness and impact of these factors in these companies can be examined. By examining the results from seventeen major factors that has been detected for agility it was specified that the ability to respond to customers' demands, the ability to respond to environmental issues and labor flexibility are the most important factors and labor flexibility and knowledge variables are the most influential factors (the cause) and flexibility of product models and the speed of service and products delivery are the most affected factors (the effect).
