Identifying the dimensions of university incubators in third generation universities

Abstract

The aim of this study was to identify university incubators in third generation universities. The research method was mixed (qualitative-quantitative), in the qualitative part the qualitative content analysis method was used with inductive approach, the participants of the qualitative part were specialists, experts and experts in the field of university incubators in the country. Targeted sampling method of type theory that 10 people were selected as key informants, the research data collection tool was a semi-structured interview. Data analysis was in the qualitative part of the theme analysis method, in the quantitative part the descriptive-survey method was used. The statistical population was all employees of companies operating in growth centers in universities of Mazandaran province. The sampling method was stratified random 225 people were selected as the statistical sample. The research data collection tool was a researcher-made questionnaire.Data analysis in this section Exploratory factor analysis in SPSS21 software was performed. Based on the research results, three dimensions of education (human resource management, knowledge management), structural (infrastructure, organizational structure, organization) and strategic (university strategies, services and support, internationalization) were identified. The results showed that university incubators include three dimensions. These dimensions are extended to three major areas of education, structure and strategy.
