Abstract

The establishment of new companies has a key role in evolution and formation of an industry and has an important effect on efficiency, innovation and revision of industry, so attention and analysis of the survival of newcomer companies are really important. Regarding the key role of the size of the company, the entrance rate to industry and the industrial growth rate in function after the establishment of companies and the industry dynamism and the importance of Electrical and Electronics industries in economic development of the country, the purpose of the research is analyzing the effects of these variables on the survival of new companies of Electrical and Electronics industries in Mazandaran province from 1981 to 2011. The data and information have been collected from the data base of Industry, Mining and Trade Organization of Mazandaran province. WinTDA software program has also been used for data processing. The hypotheses have been tested by the semi-parametric model of Cox regression. According to the results of Cox model, there is a positive relationship between the size of company and entrance rate to industry and the company survival. But there is no meaningful relationship between the industrial growth rate variable and the survival. The nonparametric model of product limit estimator (Kaplan-Meier) and life table approach have been used to analyze the relationship between the entrance rate to industry and the company survival. According to the results of the model, there is a positive relationship between the entrance rate to industry and the company survival.
