The Effect of Intellectual Capital on Organizational Performance:The mediation Role of Organizational Agility and Competitive Advantage

Abstract

Today, knowledge-based assets such as intellectual capital as a key strategy to achieve success and survival in the competitive environment and has become unpredictable. The aim of this study is to assess the effect of intellectual capital on organizational performance through organizational agility and competitive advantage in one of the country's power plants. In terms of goal the research was causal and in terms of collecting data it was descriptive-respectively. The participants of this study were 230 employees of power plant that were selected stratified sampling method as the sample of this study. A questionnaire was used to collect data and to check the validity of Content and construct validity and Cronbach's alpha was used to determine reliability. To analyze data and test hypotheses was based on structural equation modeling (SEM) and with SPSS 21 and Amos 22 software. The results showed that intellectual capital is a positive and significant impact on organizational performance directly. Competitive advantage and organizational agility as well as the role of mediator in the relationship between intellectual capital and organizational performance, finally the general pattern research approved. Therefore, Organizations that want to develop their competitive advantage and organizational agility, should invest on effective implementation of Intellectual capital.
