[English]

In this research, with the aim of strategically analyzing the entry of high-tech startups into regional markets, a SWOT approach has been used. This study is applied in nature and, in terms of execution method and time frame, it is a cross-sectional survey study. To achieve the research objectives, an exploratory mixed design (qualitative-quantitative) was used. In the qualitative section, participants included managers and founders of high-tech startups who have experience operating in regional markets and were selected through purposive sampling. After conducting 19 interviews, theoretical saturation was reached. In the strategic analysis section, the opinions of seven managers from the International Marketing Planning Department of the Vice Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy were utilized. The data collection tools included semi-structured interviews and a SWOT analysis questionnaire. For qualitative data analysis, thematic analysis was employed using MAXQDA software, and in the quantitative section, techniques such as SWOT, SOWAR, and a quantitative strategic planning matrix in Excel software were used. The results obtained from the internal and external factors evaluation matrix show that the strategic position of high-tech startups for entering regional markets is in a conservative position. This situation results from the dominance of internal weaknesses over strengths and the prevalence of opportunities over environmental threats. Therefore, the appropriate strategy is to strengthen weaknesses to take advantage of environmental opportunities. Ultimately, the research showed that the strategy of establishing a regional joint export network is the most effective approach to reduce weaknesses and maximize environmental opportunities.
